You can load an existing image into Paintstorm Studio and draw on it. It must also be mentioned that the interface has a familiar layout if you’ve used editing software before, you will immediately feel at home. Since we’re talking about the interface, it must be mentioned that by going to the View menu you can pick and choose what elements are displayed on the interface. Once you’re done with the installation and you launch Paintstorm Studio for the first time, you will be asked to choose a language for the interface: English, Japanese, Polish, Russian or Spanish. A simple setup wizard will help you install Paintstorm Studio on a PC that meets these requirements. The system requirements for running Paintstorm Studio are: 3.5GHz Core i3-4150 processor or better, 2GB of RAM (4GB or more recommended), 100MB of free disk space, nVidia GeForce 8800 or Radeon x1900 or higher graphics card, Windows operating system, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10). Suffice it to say that Paintstorm Studio truly lives up to its description: professional software for digital painting. So I was curious if any of you could point me towards a review or similar information that might give me a better idea of what Krita is good or bad at in comparison to other software like Clip Studio Paint, Corel Painter, or Paintstorm Studio without the emphasis on the €360 price difference between them.Paintstorm Studio nicely blends together all the elements you need to create stunning drawings: an easy to navigate interface, access to lots and lots of brushes, the option to play with the colors, a handy undo/redo function, hotkeys so you can work more efficiently, and more.

This is fairly important to me because, even though a lot of the skills are probably interchangeable between different software packages, money isn't the only investment I might or might not make in a program, it also requires time and dedication. This makes it difficult for me to estimate what it's pro's and con's are in relation to and what Krita's general position is in the landscape of art software.

I don't have to look very hard to see that Krita is a fantastic product, but I'm having a difficult time finding reviews and comparisons to other products where Krita is not separated into it's own "Great free app" category and excluded from direct comparisons to other (paid/proprietary) software.
